About ISCC, in one paragraph.

The International Standard Content Code (ISCC) is an international standard for identifying and comparing digital content, published as ISO 24138:2024 with an open source reference implementation. An ISCC is calculated from the content itself rather than assigned by a registry, so anyone can calculate the same code from the same file, and similar content produces similar codes. Codes are calculated where the content already is, and only the codes are shared, so organizations can compare catalogues, find records and connect information to content without exchanging files. The standard was developed in ISO/TC 46/SC 9, the ISO committee that also standardized ISBN, DOI and ISRC. The ISCC Foundation stewards the standard and its open source ecosystem so that everyone, including organizations that compete, can build on the same common ground.
03 / Logo use
Use the artwork as supplied.
The kit repeats these terms and shows how to choose, space and place each logo.
- You may use the logos in the kit to refer to ISCC, the International Standard Content Code, or to the ISCC Foundation: in news coverage, presentations, documentation and software that supports ISCC.
- Use the supplied files unaltered. Do not stretch, skew, rotate, crop, recolour, retype or rebuild the logo, and do not add outlines, gradients, shadows or effects. Keep the clear space that is built into every file.
- Do not use the logo in a way that implies endorsement, partnership or certification by the ISCC Foundation, and do not make it part of your own logo, product name or brand.
- The standard-reference lockup names ISO 24138:2024 as a standard. It is not a certification mark and does not certify a product or service.
